The Northview Golf Academy is home to a 42,000 sq foot practice facility and a stable of professionals who are experts in every area of golf performance. We have professionals who can offer private instruction to social gatherings and corporate clinics in any area of golf performance. Whether it is a playing lesson on any of our 36 holes of Palmer designed courses to a swing lesson on our grass tee or a putting lesson on our expansive short game facility we are able to take care of you. At Northview, we also have certified fitness, strength, mobility and nutrition experts to help take your game to the next level.

Greg Pool, Head Golf Professional, PGA of Canada
Greg has been a proud member of the PGA of Canada since 2009 and joined the team at Northview as Head Golf Professional in 2020. His professional experience spans all corners of the Lower Mainland at a variety of facilities from private to public and executive facilities. He has been a regular contributor to the PGA of BC and PGA of Canada having served on the PGA of BC Board from 2015-2018 as well as competing regularly throughout the Lower Mainland, BC, and Canada. Notable accomplishments he has received were the 2018 PGA of BC Professional Development Program Award, 2015 and 2018 PGA of BC Class ‘A’ Professional of the Year Awards, and the 2018 PGA of Canada Class ‘A’ Professional of the Year Award.

Theo Tanski – Associate Professional, PGA of Canada & South Africa PGA Class “A” Member
Theo joins the team from South Africa as a Class “A” Professional with the PGA of South Africa, after his training at The Golf School of Excellence and has over 10 years of experience in golf. Linda Jervis, LPGA Professional
Linda has been empowering others to learn and play golf for over two decades, in a structured and creative way through on- and off-course training and learning. Linda plays a key role at the Northview Golf Academy for the past 9 years and has built successful year-round programs for players of all levels. Linda comes from a playing background and draws from that to offer her students solid advice on every aspect of the game.

Dan Naismith, Teaching Professional, PGA of Canada, Certified Titleist Fitter
Dan Naismith is a ”Golf Efficiency Guru”. Since turning professional in 2010, Dan is now a Class A (award-winning) member of the PGA of Canada with over a decade of coaching experience with the Northview Golf Academy. His teaching style and philosophy come from a certified background of the Titleist Performance Institute’s (TPI) Body-Swing Connection, this allows him to effectively work with students of all abilities, from beginners to playing professionals alike. Trusting Dan as your instructor means you have access to cutting-edge training tools like HackMotion and K-Vest, these revolutionary real-time feedback systems accelerate the learning process immensely. Quinn Vilneff – Teaching Professional, PGA of Canada, MSc, TPI Certified
Coach Quinn brings a unique perspective to his coaching having caddied all over the world, most recently on the PGA European Tour. Quinn began his coaching career in 2014 as an assistant Men’s and Women’s NCAA Division I golf coach. After graduating with a Master of Science Degree in 2017, Quinn has dedicated his career to helping golfers of all skill levels understand the tour-proven approach to lowering scores. John Shin, Teaching Professional, PGA of Canada Class ‘A’, BSc Kin, TPI Certified PGA of Canada
John played college golf at SFU (NCAA II) with a Bachelors in Kinesiology. Since then, he has competed on various professional golf tours around the world (Asian, Mackenzie-PGA Tour Canada) for over a decade. Still, as an active competitive player, he has had numerous professional victories including the 2017 PGA of BC Championship at Capilano G&CC. His vast knowledge and wealth of experience gained throughout his playing career gives him a unique insight into what it takes to play at an elite level. He has helped his junior students achieve golf scholarships both in Canada and US. John’s diverse skillset is highlighted by his on-course strategy and risk management and a holistic approach to helping golfers of all abilities – from beginners to tour professionals.

Jason Glass, Golf Fitness Professional, BHK, CSCS. TPI3 Certified
Coach Glass devoted the past 2 decades of his life as a strength & conditioning coach, helping some of the world’s top rotational athletes ranging from the PGA Tour, LPGA, NFL, MLB and extreme sport athletes. Jason was a part of Team Canada as a performance coach and has helped develop Canada’s future champions both on and off the course. When you combine his ability to motivate and inspire with his ability to screen and correlate function and performance he is unmatched.
