The Northview Golf Academy is home to a 42,000 sq foot practice facility and a stable of professionals who are experts in every area of golf performance. We have professionals who can offer private instruction to social gatherings and corporate clinics in any area of golf performance. Whether it is a playing lesson on any of our 36 holes of Palmer designed courses to a swing lesson on our grass tee or a putting lesson on our expansive short game facility we are able to take care of you. At Northview, we also have certified fitness, strength, mobility and nutrition experts to help take your game to the next level.

Meet our Coaches

Greg Pool, Head Golf Professional, PGA of Canada

Greg has been a proud member of the PGA of Canada since 2009 and joined the team at Northview as Head Golf Professional in 2020. His professional experience spans all corners of the Lower Mainland at a variety of facilities from private to public and executive facilities. He has been a regular contributor to the PGA of BC and PGA of Canada having served on the PGA of BC Board from 2015-2018 as well as competing regularly throughout the Lower Mainland, BC, and Canada. Notable accomplishments he has received were the 2018 PGA of BC Professional Development Program Award, 2015 and 2018 PGA of BC Class ‘A’ Professional of the Year Awards, and the 2018 PGA of Canada Class ‘A’ Professional of the Year Award.

John Shin, Teaching Professional, PGA of Canada

John specializes in taking  the competitive golfer to the next level. His vast knowledge and experience from playing on various professional tours around the world for more than a decade gives him a unique insight into the competitive mindset.  He has multiple professional victories, including the 2017 PGA of BC Championship. John’s diverse skill set is highlighted by his coaching on course strategy and risk management and what it takes to become an elite player.


Theo Tanski – Associate Professional, PGA of Canada & South Africa PGA Class “A” Member

Theo joins the team from South Africa as a Class “A” Professional with the PGA of South Africa, after his training at The Golf School of  Excellence and has over 10 years of  experience in golf.  His knowledge of the game and versatile teaching approach is beneficial to all age groups at any level of ability.  LESSON FEES


Quinn Vilneff – Teaching Professional, PGA of Canada, MSc, TPI Certified

Coach Quinn brings a unique perspective to his coaching having caddied all over the world, most recently on the PGA European Tour. Quinn began his coaching career in 2014 as an assistant Men’s and Women’s NCAA Division I golf coach. After graduating with a Master of Science Degree in 2017, Quinn has dedicated his career to helping golfers of all skill levels understand the tour-proven approach to lowering scores. Lindsay Manion, Golf Fitness & Teaching Professional, PGA of Canada
BHK, TPI2 Certified, FRCms

Lindsay Manion was previously a varsity golfer at the University of British Columbia and a student of the Bachelor of Human Kinetics program, and is now one of the top performance coaches in BC.  She works with all ages and levels of golfers, including organizations such as BCGA Provincial Performance Program, SFU Men’s and Women’s golf programs, and a few local golf academies.


Jason Glass, Golf Fitness Professional, BHK, CSCS. TPI3 Certified

Coach Glass devoted the past 2 decades of his life as a strength & conditioning coach, helping some of the world’s top rotational athletes ranging from the PGA Tour, LPGA, NFL, MLB and extreme sport athletes. Jason was a part of Team Canada as a performance coach and has helped develop Canada’s future champions both on and off the course. When you combine his ability to motivate and inspire with his ability to screen and correlate function and performance he is unmatched.


Gord Butt, Associate Professional, PGA of Canada

Gord turned professional in 2012 and received his Class “A” designation in 2017. Gord is an experienced instructor with beginners as well as advanced players looking to elevate their game. Whether it’s mechanics, course management, or a different mental approach, Gord likes to explore all aspects of the game to help a student get better and have more fun on the links! LESSON FEES


Linda Jervis, LPGA Professional

Linda has been empowering others to learn and play golf for over two decades, in a structured and creative way through on- and off-course training and learning. Linda plays a key role at the Northview Golf Academy for the past 9 years and has built successful year-round programs for players of all levels. Linda comes from a playing background and draws from that to offer her students solid advice on every aspect of the game.


Dan Naismith, Teaching Professional, PGA of Canada, Certified Titleist Fitter

Dan Naismith is a “Golf Efficiency Guru” His knowledge of the golf swing, biomechanics, and technology combined with his ability to relay information in simple and easy to understand ways, make him an excellent coach for students of all ages and abilities.

An Update Regarding COVID-19 

 EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 13, 2021 By order of the Public Health Officer – proof of vaccination will be required to access Duffey’s Sports Grill, and any private functions held in the Clubhouse. Effective October 24, 2021 – proof of the second dose of COVID 19 vaccine (7 days after dose 2) We will ask to see your BC Vaccine Card/QR CODE and a piece of valid government photo ID, for example:
  • B.C. driver's license or BC Services Card
  • Passport
  • Photo ID issued by another province or territory
  • Youth 12 & under are not required to show valid government photo ID.
Please be advised that there is zero-tolerance for verbal abuse directed at any Northview team members. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding while we learn and adapt to these upcoming changes.
Please note Duffey's Sports Grill is closed on Mondays & Tuesdays until March. The Patio is now closed for the season.

Golf Courses

Please read all terms carefully. Your booking is 100% non-refundable within 24 hours of your tee time. 

We are currently accepting tee times 7 days in advance!

We are taking every precaution to ensure the safety of our staff and customers and we have new mandatory policies in place due to Covid-19. There will be no exceptions to these policies. Please read our new policies set out below and the mandatory “PHYSICAL DISTANCING” that is required

General Information

No additional walkers are permitted to accompany the group over and above your paid foursome. Anyone in this situation will be asked to leave the property.

No outside alcohol- strictly enforced. No social gatherings of any size are permitted in the parking lot or overflow parking lot areas. Note: drinking alcohol beverages in the parking lot is in contravention of our liquor license and could result in personal fines from the RCMP/Liquor Inspector in addition to citations and harsh penalties/suspensions to the golf club. Tailgating will not be allowed in the parking lot.

**The Driving Range is open for guests with a tee time reservation or lessons only**

If you plan to hit a warm up bucket of balls you can now arrive 45 minutes prior to your tee time. Range balls are available for purchase at the Golf shop only.

The driving range opens approximately 30 minutes prior to the first tee time with the exception of Mondays which is delayed until approximately 10:00am due to maintenance. Please note that on Sundays the range also closes early, 3 hours before sunset, due to maintenance. Finally, on Thursday mornings, the range is closed until approximately 7:00am through the summer season. These times are subject to change without notice. All range tokens must be purchased from the golf shop. The golf shop closes daily 2 hours before sunset.


Northview is also pleased to offer our limited menu - now available for TAKEOUT with same-day pick up. Online ordering will be available from 8am on. Takeout is available Wednesday - Sunday from 4pm - 7pm. Thank you!
