This position is ideal for someone who is proactive, dependable, and takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-kept facility environment. The successful candidate will support the overall upkeep of the property through general maintenance, repairs, and daily operational support.

The Catering Assistant will assist the Sales department with proactive selling techniques, administration, client contact and follow-up with a consistent focus on maintaining a high level of service and efficiency. This position will help/assist and organize special events, corporate, holiday events and or weddings when needed.
We are looking for a detail-oriented team player who takes pride in a job well done. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service skills and maintain a positive, cheerful attitude.
Experience in events, catering, or banquet service is considered an asset.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
o The inside and outside sale of food and beverage events to current and prospective clients: soliciting new catering accounts, and maintaining relationships with existing accounts
o Assist in tours of the facility
o Assist the Catering coordinator with the coordination Weddings, Christmas parties, corporate meetings,
o Pre and post client follow up to ensure customer satisfaction and payment requirements
o Development and maintenance of the Catering Sales department (filing, hardware such as printers, photocopiers, etc.)
o Developing, maintaining and improving the event booking process and client service levels
o Utilizing and maintaining current and future computer software programs
o General administration – ensuring departments have previews and contracts on designated days
o General administration – filing, photocopying – day to day admin tasks
o Ability to work flexible schedule in order to accommodate business levels as required
o Weekends, evenings, depending on events – general work hours are 8:30am-5pm unless otherwise indicated or work driven/events
o Assisting Catering Coordinator and Tournament Director in various tasks
Hours of work are Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours may vary depending on seasonal and operational demands.
