Position Overview:
Northview Golf & CC has a reputation within the industry of hosting exceptional golf events. The Tournament Assistant at Northview Golf & Country Club reports to the Tournament Director and Director of Golf
and is responsible for assisting in the planning, organizing, and execution of corporate and charity golf events held annually at the Northview Golf & CC. Along with working closely with the Golf Team, this role requires you to work collaboratively and cooperatively with the Food and Beverage Team, as well as the Grounds Department to ensure that events are executed in a manner that our clients have come to expect.
The Tournament Assistant Role is a full-time role working out of the Tournament Office April 1 through September 30. Days of work are generally Monday-Friday, however flexibility in hours and days may be required to complement our corporate event schedule. During the winter months, hours will be based on facility traffic and will include shifts within the golf shop or other areas within Northview as needed.

General Responsibilities:
Event Planning and Coordination
· Responsible for the Booking and execution of all Small Groups at Northview
– A small group is a Tee Time event with no F&B attached that is booked in advance of our 7-day booking window.
· Serve in a supporting role as the secondary point of contact for event organizers
· Responding to clients and potential leads in a timely manner, within 24 hours of receipt of the message is our standard to ensure relationships are strong.
· Building strong relationships with existing clients while cultivating new leads for events.
· Interprets and enforces club policies, rules, and regulations pertaining to events
· Adheres to all Local, Provincial, and National laws pertaining to Health and Safety.
· Ensuring events are operating in accordance with provincial Liquor Regulations.
· Creating and building growth opportunities with a corporate merchandise program.
· Monitor tee sheets to ensure that events are booked accurately and correctly.
· Ensuring accurate and up to date records of each event are maintained with each event from the first point of contact to execution and follow-up feedback.
Tournament Execution
· Assist in the day-of-event operations, ensuring events run smoothly and on schedule.
· Handle administration duties as requested by the Tournament Director and Director of Golf
– Running Errands, Creating Cart Signs, Making Score Cards, Inputting Events into Gallus.
· Direct the setup team for all shotgun events.
· Act as the main contact on event days for sponsor drop offs
· Ensure timely and accurate communication with all departments and event coordinators.
· Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during events in a calm and professional manner.
· Accurately inventory and monitor all equipment needed to run golf tournaments (including tables, chairs, buckets, umbrellas, activations, linens, cables and extension cords, etc.)
· Coordinate the repair or replacement of any tournament equipment as needed.
· Ensure cleanliness of all tournament storage areas within the Golf Department and make sure that they are always presented at Northview Standards.

Supervisory and Leadership
· Oversee the Event Setup Team and ensure that the course is being set up as shown in the event order
· Liaise with F&B to confirm that banquets and kitchen have the most up to date and correct information.
· Coordinate with the golf shop team to request assistance as needed.
· Coordinate with player assistants team to request assistance as needed
