Tour Performance Lab – Director of Instruction
Matthew Palsenbarg is heading into his 11th year of Instruction at the Northview Golf Academy. He is the Co-Founder with Jason Glass of the www.TourPerformanceLab.com. This program offers the best in golf instruction and golf fitness for developing junior golfers and adults. Since 2009 Matthew has worked with Golf British Columbia as a Provincial Coach working with Junior Golf. He attends many major Junior Provincial Championships and took the BC Team to the RCGA Canadian Junior boys championship in 2009, 2010, 2013 and 2014. His work also had him help run elite junior camps for training and evaluation of provincial players. Four of these camps were hosted at Northview Golf Academy. He also coached in the 2010 BC Summer games to a gold medal win for both boys and girls and zone 3 team. His experience as a playing professional with 1 national championship and 2 provincial championships gives him a special quality in his coaching.
Matthew has a passion for coaching all level of players looking to really improve their games. He specializes in year-long coaching programs that are offered through the www.tourperformancelab.com. As a TPI level 3 golf professional and level 2 junior coach his partnership with Jason Glass offers a unique blend of fitness and instruction to get students playing their best golf. ”There are no short cuts to better golf, with the right direction and hard work your goals in this game can be achieved.”

Jason specializes in rotational training, biomechanics, golf specific conditioning, functional movement assessment and corrective exercise prescription.
Jason currently works on the PGA Tour and formally worked as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Canadian National Team, BC Provincial Team and the UBC Varsity Golf Program. Jason lectures internationally on golf fitness, performance training and rotational power. Jason is also the host of the Coach Glass Podcast on iTunes.

Linda Jervis, Class “A” LPGA T&CP

Linda has dedicated her life to the game of golf. Since 1995, Linda has been empowering others to learn and play golf in a structured and creative way through on- and off-course training and instruction. Linda obtained her Class A teaching designation in 2002, and continues to gain valuable insight and education through ongoing, extensive training within the LPGA. Linda ranks high amongst Canada’s Top Women Golf Teachers and is one of few Canadian women to have successfully competed professionally at the international level. Linda plays a key role at the Northview Academy and has built successful year-round programs for players of all levels.
Linda was one of Canada’s top-ranked amateurs by the time she was fifteen. Drawing from her experience in playing LPGA Tour events, she now coaches at all levels and offers her student’s solid advice on every aspect of their game. Her passion for golf and her qualifications as a player and coach stand for themselves. Most importantly, she truly cares about your game. You will often hear Linda ask: “What kind of golfer would you like to be?”
Lead Junior Instructor
Chris has been a member of the PGA of Canada since 2004. During that time junior golf has been his main focus. His programs create a fun and dynamic learning environment in which kids develop their skills through games. No matter what your age Chris will show you how to put the fun back in your game and help you reach your goals.
Head Fitness Coach: Tour Performance LAB
Lindsay specializes in rotational training, golf specific conditioning, functional screening and corrective exercise prescription. Lindsay currently is the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the UBC Varsity Golf Program. And works with the BC Provincial Team. As a former collegiate golfer mixed with her extensive training background allows Lindsay to train golfers with a complete 360 degree approach.
Lindsay is quickly becoming one of the most sought after fitness professionals in Canada.
Dan’s passion for the game of golf, enthusiasm, and patients take center stage on every lesson. His ability to convey substantial knowledge in simplistic – easy to understand ways, will elevate your understanding of the game to an entirely new level. Dan believes golf is a game that should be played and enjoyed by all, not just the highly skilled, or the tour professionals. Because of this belief he specializes in beginner and intermediate instruction, with the purpose of allowing every students reach their golfing potential.
Nate has been a PGA of Canada member for the last three years and has been the assistant woman’s golf coach for Simon Fraser University for the last 4 years. He conducts the practices and travels with the team. He has a great amount of knowledge in the skills of learning how to practice and plan for tournaments.
Nate also works close with Chris Lutes and works with the LABsters program.
Lead Tour Performance Lab Coach
John enters his first full year as a performance coach at the Tour Performance LAB at Northview Golf & Country Club. He graduated SFU with a BSc Kinesiology degree and played for the university golf team from 1999-2002. During this time he received NAIA All-American Honorable Mention (2001) and was voted SFU Men’s Golf Team “Most Inspirational Player” Award.
He represented the 2001 BC Willingdon Cup Team and has spent the last 10+ years as a touring professional on various tours around the world, such as the Asian Tour, PGA Tour Canada, China Tour and the Vancouver Golf Tour. He was voted Canadian “Rookie of the Year” award in 2006 on the PGA Tour Canada. He served as the Assistant Coach for the KPU Eagles’ Golf Team in 2014
The knowledge and experience John gained on tour will be invaluable to his students; not only can he provide practical information on course management and playing strategy, but also help students understand what it takes to become an elite golfer. Students will be able to apply these skills on the course to achieve their lowest scores and ultimately become the best player they can be.
